Terms of Service

Last updated: June 4, 2026

These terms govern your use of mqdir.com (the website) and mq-dir (the desktop application). By using either, you agree to these terms.

The application

mq-dir is open-source software licensed under the MIT License. The full license text is included with the source code at github.com/h5nam/mq-dir/blob/main/LICENSE and is the controlling agreement for using, modifying, and redistributing the software. Nothing in these website terms reduces or modifies the rights granted to you by the MIT License.

The website

You may use mqdir.com to learn about the application, download releases, and read the blog. We do not require accounts, registrations, or payment. There are no paid features or subscriptions on the website.

You agree not to:

No warranty

The application and website are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uptime, error-free operation, or compatibility with any specific configuration. The MIT License contains the formal warranty disclaimer governing the application.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the application or website, including but not limited to data loss. Use file operations at your own risk and keep backups of irreplaceable data.

Trademarks

“mq-dir” and the mq-dir logo are used by the developer to identify this project. The MIT License grants you copyright permissions but does not transfer trademark rights. If you fork or redistribute the software, please rename your distribution to avoid confusion with the official release.

Third-party content

This website links to external sites (GitHub, Apple, Homebrew, third-party tools and articles). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of external sites. Following an external link is at your own discretion.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the website after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, where the developer is based, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
